Mazda 3 Car Battery Replace

No car battery lasts forever. Depending on the weather and driving conditions, your Mazda 3 should be able to take you wherever you need to go for a couple of years before you need a Mazda 3 car battery replace service. If you’ve noticed your car isn’t as strong as it used to be, maybe it’s time to think about getting your Mazda car battery replaced.

Here at United Tires, we offer all kinds of batteries for Mazda, no matter the type or size. But before you decide to change your battery, make sure you need a replacement in the first place. To help you with this, we want to show you what signs to look out for.

When Should You Replace the Battery?

Not every malfunction means you need a new battery, but you may have to start thinking about getting it if any of the following happens:

  • You notice blue or grayish residue on the battery – This is caused by corrosion, and it’s one of the most obvious signs there’s something wrong with the battery. Sometimes cleaning it is enough. Always make sure to wear safety gloves, as the acid may damage your skin. If cleaning doesn’t help, it may be time to have your Mazda 3 car battery replaced.
  • Your car has trouble starting – If you notice that the engine is struggling, or hear clicking sounds while trying to turn on your car, your battery may be damaged. It can also mean that it’s just empty, so make sure to give it a 30-minute charge before trying to power it on. If the problem persists, you should consider replacing the battery.
  • You see the battery casing is deformed – This is also pretty easy to notice. If you see that the battery case is bloated, or has strange bumps, it’s probably because the heat got to it. In this case, it’s just a matter of time when the battery gives out, so start thinking about a replacement.

Mazda car battery replacement procedure

If you’ve noticed any of these signs, you should start considering a replacement. Or your Mazda may have already left you stranded somewhere, so it’s pretty clear then that you need one. In this case, we want to give you a quick overview of what a Mazda car battery replacement looks like, and what we will do:

  • Finding the battery – In most cases, the battery is under the hood in the engine bay.
  • Removing the old battery – This requires removing all the cables and the battery from the tray. Keep in mind that this means your electronic devices will restart.
  • Cleaning the tray – In case there’s any corrosion, we’ll clean it from the tray before installing a new battery. We’ll do this for the cable connectors as well.
  • Installing the new battery – The last step is to put the new battery in your car. We’ll make sure it fits correctly and test the voltage and make all necessary adjustments. Your Mazda will be up and running in no time.
